Property Guardian Protection (PGP) appreciates that our property guardian community is the most important asset in delivering the best possible service to protect our clients’ buildings.
We are always interested in meeting experienced guardians in London and the south of the UK who take pride in their living space.
PGP carries out a vetting and referencing process to ensure the most socially responsible and reliable individuals occupy our spaces and become part of our community.
Vetting and background checks to BS7858 standards and/or DBS will be required for certain placements.
Our reputation stands for being the best at what we do. PGP guardians can expect a more enjoyable living experience when joining the PGP community and helping us to set new standards in protecting our clients’ buildings.
BECOME A GUARDIANPGP do not charge administration or other hidden fees to our property guardians.
In properties with shared facilities, washing machines, cookers and refrigerators are supplied for use by all guardians. Communal areas are furnished to a basic level. Property Guardians may add to the communal living and dining spaces. Bathroom facilities vary from building to building. Self-contained units are unfurnished.
The monthly licence fee payable to PGP includes utility bills (water, gas and electric) and council tax unless stated, subject to reasonable use.
Where possible PGP will arrange for a fibre or standard broadband internet connection with Wi-Fi at each property. Sometimes there will be a small set up charge.
CCTV cameras are installed at all of the properties we manage for the safety of our property guardian community and protection of the premises.
Please complete our online application form here to register your interest in becoming a property guardian with us. Once a property that fits your time frame for moving becomes available we will contact you to complete your application.
Please ensure you let us know if you have been a property guardian before and how you heard about PGP.
The best time to contact us to view properties is when you are looking to move within the next two to four weeks. If you require any further information please check our FAQs for guardians or contact us by email or telephone.
Before getting in touch to enquire about specific vacancies, please ensure that you have successfully filled out our application form.
We ensure that all of our property guardians understand the terms and conditions of the legal contract that they sign with us. Unlike a tenancy agreement, you will be living in the property under a monthly non-exclusive licence agreement.
This means that when our contract with a property owner is terminated, our licence agreement with our property guardian is automatically terminated.
This does not mean that we will move our property guardians out immediately. However, it does mean that at this point we will serve notice to quit under the property guardian's licence agreement with us. This gives our property guardians a minimum of 28 days' notice to vacate the premises. Relocating guardians have priority on available living space across our portfolio.
